Quick Answer

Transmountain Therapy is hiring a Physical Therapist (PT) in Las Cruces, NM as the lead clinician for our growing Southern New Mexico home health operations. Rates are $75 to $80 per visit. The PRN schedule is fully flexible — anywhere from 5 to 20+ visits per week. You'll evaluate patients, write plans of care, supervise our capable PTA team, and document in the EMR. Application-to-first-visit timeline: 3-7 business days (add 1-4 weeks if you're a Texas-licensed PT obtaining NM compact privilege). The Role

Lead PT for Southern New Mexico home health.

This is a real clinical autonomy role. You own the evaluations, you set the plans of care, you supervise a PTA team that's already in place — and you set your caseload size to fit the kind of work you want. The market is growing, the agency contracts are active, and the work is genuinely meaningful. Las Cruces patient demand is consistent and the operational support is already built.

What you'll do

  • Evaluate home health patients across Southern NM and establish plans of care
  • Perform re-certifications and discharges as required
  • Supervise treating PTAs in the field (we already have PTAs in market)
  • Document evals, progress notes, and POCs in the partner agency's EMR
  • Attend weekly case conferences with partner agencies
  • Pick your weekly visit volume and zone coverage

What we offer PTs

  • Fully flexible 1099 schedule — pick your visit count and days
  • Active PTA team already in market — collaborative supervision, not babysitting
  • 2 active agency contracts in Las Cruces and Santa Teresa
  • Streamlined onboarding, scheduling, and pay via HomeHealthSync — our proprietary contractor management platform
  • Direct line to the owner — a fellow clinician
  • Same rate structure as our El Paso PT work

NM Licensure · PT Compact

Both Texas and New Mexico are members of the Physical Therapy Licensure Compact, an interstate agreement that lets licensed PTs and PTAs work across compact states without going through full second-state licensure.

If you're already a NM-licensed PT

  • You're ready to apply directly
  • No additional licensure step required
  • Typical onboarding: 3-7 business days from application to first visit

If you're a Texas-licensed PT (compact-eligible)

  • Apply for NM compact privilege online through the PT Compact Commission
  • Processing typically takes 1-4 weeks
